THE SNAKE BITE PILLS

DREAM: The Snake Bite Pills. (December 16, 1990, One year and three months after my memory returned.)

Mom has invited the organ group over for a pot luck dinner. I am helping her get ready. Les comes. He says he has something to show me. He opens a box. In the box are little plastic packages. He opens the package and tells me to eat the white snake bite pills. I eat a couple. They taste okay. I eat a couple of other colorful pills too. Then there is a third thing, the snake bite serum which I'm supposed  to mix with the pills. I decide not to take that because I don't have a snake bite and it might be harmful. Les puts the pills on the counter so he can sell them to people standing around getting ready for the pot luck.

A man appears and tells me he has screwed me many times, something like 142 times. I am having a conversation with him and he is talking like this. I say,"This is rather strange. This guy wasn't here a minute ago and now he is, and we are talking to each other. It occurs to me that he is not a real person and he is a figment of my imagination. There are a couple of people nearby. I walk over to them and say, "Did you see me talking to someone?" "Yes," they say."Was anyone there?" I ask."No," they reply.

One of the techniques the abductors used on me was drugs. When I was found, I had become addicted. I would not have been able to do some of the things required of me if I had been totally conscious. I have never used illegal drugs, not even marijuana, and I would fight anyone who tried to make me.

I believe the words "organ group," and "pot luck," are metaphors for an orgy. The group I was with had frequent such get togethers.

I went house hunting with my niece, Kristin, and my brother Arthur. Kristin was looking for a new place to live. The average three bedroom, two bath house in Bella Vista, Arkansas now costs $350.000. When I moved there in 2004, the same house was $150,000. Nestled in the forest and living with wild life, Bella Vista is a great place to live. It has six golf courses and four lakes.

"My mind is always soothed when I imagine myself sitting on my South Sea island at night in a gentle chiffon wind, with my mouth open and my head way back, watching those twinkling points, waiting for that eerie, silent streak to spread across the black sky and stun me again. I don't stretch my hand out anymore, but I never get tired of waiting for the next magic."

--Marlon Brando. Last paragraph of his autobiography by Robert Lindsey,  Brando: Songs My Mother Taught Me.

Me on Fort Meyer State Beach in Oregon.

in the surf
 the gull and I,
  warm breeze

beach
 brilliant orange,
  reflecting

returning to my text
 renewed,
  the healing sunset.
