MY BOOK TALK AND SIGNING EVENT WAS A BIG SUCCESS.

                                              I am ready to greet my guests.

 

Heidi Ann Faires, General Manager of the Apollo Theater and Event Planner, invited me to hold my book talk at the theater for Abducted: My Struggle to Remember, on May 2, 2024. 

She planned a great evening for me, from the lobby decorated with flowers, the theater set up with tables for my dream art work show, and chairs for the two PowerPoint programs I showed on the Apollo screen.

As people entered the theater, 20 of my dream art works were displayed around the room and guests were greeted with a PowerPoint picture display of my life, including head shots, singing  performances, my adventures in the wild with my camera, and pictures from my book. These included Madame Brenda Allen, and mob bag woman Virginia Hill, as well as pictures from places in Los Angeles I discovered I had been as an abducted child.  . 

A second PowerPoint show corresponded with my book talk. I read excerpts from Abducted, talked about retired FBI agent, Roger Young, Jr., who has supported me along the way, and my relationships with Brenda Allen, and Virginia Hill, as well as how I found out who kidnapped me. 

Fifty people attended and I sold 12 books. Most were friends who had already purchased my book. 

I have been lucky. So far I have received 11 reviews, 10 gave me five stars, and one a 4 star. 

I'm looking forward to seeing what transpires with my book over the coming years.
